Tortured for Christ

I'm waiting for my copy of Tortured for Christ, I did a quick search and found a pdf of it. Just kinda glancing through I found this paragraph...

We Made a Deal--We Preached and They Beat

It was strictly forbidden to preach to other prisoners. It was understood that whoever was caught doing this received a severe beating. A number of us decided to pay the price for the privilege of preaching, so we accepted their terms. It was a deal; we preached and they beat us. We were happy preaching. They were happy beating us, so everyone was happy.

The following scene happened more times than I can remember: A brother was preaching to the other prisoners when the guards suddenly burst in, surprising him half way through a phrase. They hauled him down the corridor to their "beating room". After what seemed an endless beating, they brought him back and threw him--bloody and bruised--on the prison floor. Slowly, he picked his battered body up, painfully straightened his clothing and said, "now, brethren, where did I leave off when I was interrupted?" He continued his Gospel message!

May Yahweh have mercy on us all, that if we have to go to prison for him someday that we too would count it all joy...if we have to take a beating for him that we would be happy to be chosen to suffer for his name sake...and if we have to die for him we would follow our Messiah and be willing to lay our lives down for Him...

In the name of Yahshua the Messiah

  1. This is the second post i've read on this book and i STILL haven't received mine! I hope it wasn't stolen in the mail. :(
But if it was, i hope whoever has it learns from it!

Love the new layout YaKheena!!! And the snow! lol

  2. Sister Bridget~ you must have read Sister Victoria's Post on it...that's where I found the link to the book.

I haven't recieved mine either, I think it just takes time considering the season. That's why I did a search on an e-book (impatience *blush*)

Oh the blog, well after seeing your snow on your blog I wanted some toooo....so, I found a gadget and added some but it didn't show up on my other back ground. found this one and now not only do I have snow but a snowman to boot! :-)

  3. I can't see the snowman, only his arm. lol. I don't know if it is my screen resolution or what. hehehe. I got the code for the snow from the place i got my layouts. I am no good with html.

  4. I have the book, I just need to set down and read it, maybe as a family read aloud...thank you muchly...

  5. LOL~ well sis. Bridget at least you know a snowman arm when you see it...lol

it might be your screen sizing thingy at the bottom of your screen (mine is on the right bottom) it says 100% yours might say 125% or even 150% in which case you can only see the arm and none of the large brown and blue stenciled snow flakes as the border of my page.

If you do have that at the bottom of your page just click on the arrow next to it and resize your screen to be 100% and you'll be able to see everything. I hope this helps :-)

  6. Ok i found out how to zoom out. I had to press view from the top. It makes the text and pics smaller but now i can see your snowman and scarf he wears! The text is now smaller than 10 tho. But thats why i have glasses!

  7. This so good.
