Tweeking a recipe

So we have made up a batch of deoderant and find it's just a bit to strong for our sensitve skin ;-)
so we are tweeking it a bit and decreasing our baking soda from 1/4 cup to 1/8 cup...the baking soda can be a bit too strong and actually cause a rash or redden area...we'll see how this next batch will do...

  2. Hi!

As far as your question about deer sausage, we cheated this time (with it being our first year with deer meat). We went to Tractor Supply and purchased the packet of seasoning for sausage. We got the Brat Seasoning, but we weren't too impressed as we didn't add enough beef fat to the deer meat (it really needs that to be good).

But there are many good recipes online that I have yet to try, but I have really enjoyed having the deer meat this year... we recently ground up 25 pounds of deer burger and it is wonderful, along with the deer steaks (back strap of the deer)... I have never had such delicious steak!!!

If I find something that is very tasty for sausage, I will let you know (as I have time). I will also try to get back to posting my recipes with our deer meat soon (I have taken a break from blogging for a while).

    Blessings!
    Heather
